N. Krishnamurthy is a distinguished investigator with over 36 years of senior investigative experience in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Renowned for his leadership on high-profile and complex anti-corruption and financial crimes matters, Mr. Krishnamurthy played a pivotal role in the Special Investigation Team which investigated the assassination of the late Shri Rajiv Gandhi and has led inquiries into landmark matters including major bank frauds, economic scams, the Jain hawala and fodder scam cases, and large-scale stock market irregularities.

His career blends deep operational expertise with a refined understanding of the legal process. Following an accomplished tenure in the CBI, where he conducted discreet verifications, intelligence collection, source development, and courtroom prosecutions, he served as Head of Vigilance at Star Health Insurance, Chennai, overseeing corporate compliance and risk mitigation for the organization's operations.

A commerce graduate with further specialization in labour administration and human resources, Mr. Krishnamurthy also earned his law degree in 2002. He advises on matters of fraud investigation, regulatory enforcement, corporate vigilance, and litigation strategy.

Mr. Krishnamurthy's credentials are strengthened by advanced investigative training from premier institutions, including the CBI Training Academy, Central Detective Training School, and the Reserve Bank of India. In recognition of his service excellence, he was awarded the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (2007) and the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service (2015), along with numerous Commendation Certificates and monetary rewards from the CBI.
